Ribbon cutting Ceremony for the Atrisco Heritage Academy High School Electric Solar PV Generation and Battery Storage Project

Thursday, October 13, 2022 @ 3:00 pm

10800 Dennis Chavez Boulevard SW, Albuquerque, NM, 87121

Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) invites you on Thursday, October 13 at 3:00 pm, to a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new energy storage project.

The Atrisco Heritage Academy High School solar PV (850 kW) and battery storage (721kW / 2884 kWh) project is the largest single public school clean energy project in New Mexico. This is a joint initiative of APS, Sandia National Laboratories, the U.S. Department of Energy, the New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department, the Clean Energy States Alliance, and OE Solar, a local solar power design and construction company.

An Albuquerque Public Schools bus will be provided to take Peer Review participants to the Atrisco High School PV and Battery Storage Project ribbon cutting. You will board the bus at the Clyde Hotel at 2:15, departing for the ribbon cutting at 2:30, and return to the hotel by 4:30. Capacity is limited. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Peer Review registration desk for those who are interesting in going and taking the bus.

For more information about the installation and the Atrisco ribbon cutting, contact Henry Guan (hguan@sandia.gov).
